The 3rd Annual Salisbury Beach Relay will take place on Sunday, July 19th! The Salisbury Beach Relay is a great event for competitors to challenge themselves in this unique ocean side race. The course takes participants through the beach center and local neighborhoods. The race consists of 3 legs; 10 mile bike ride, 6K run and 2 mile stand up paddle board ride. Team members, friends and family are invited to a post-race celebration party on the deck of Surfside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

The 6th Annual Buffet Beach Blast will take place on Friday, July 24th! It’s 5 o’clock somewhere!! Salisbury Beach is excited to host the 6th Annual Buffet Beach Blast at the Blue Ocean Music Hall. Changes in Latitude, the premier Jimmy Buffet tribute band will perform all of the songs you know and love. Enjoy beachfront tailgating with friends before the concert begins!

The 33rd Annual April Fool’s 4 Mile Road Race will be run at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Winner’s Circle, just off of the Rte. 110 exit of Rte. 95, in Salisbury, MA. This great event is one of the oldest races in the WCRC lineup, being just 3 months younger than the Hangover Classic on New Year’s Day. The race features a flat and fast USATF certified course (#MA11026JK) which attracts top runners, along with a fun atmosphere and great post race party, making the event inviting to all. Profits from this race will benefit the American Red Cross and the Alzheimer’s Association. Special thanks is due to the 2014 race sponsors: the Institution for Savings and the Smuttynose Brewing Co. Please visit our website for detailed information about this race/walk. The Run for the Roses is the second race of the WCRC Speed Series 4-3-2-1. The four race series begins at the end of March at the April Fool’s 4 Mile Race, continues in June with the Pat Polletta 2 Mile Race, and finishes in August at the High Street Mile.

The 37th Annual Pat Polletta 2 Mile Rail-Trail Race will be run at 6:30 PM on Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Winner’s Circle, just off the Route 110 exit of Route 95, in Salisbury, MA on Salisbury’s Ghost Trail, a course of packed-gravel.
New in 2013, an Adaptive Athlete race category was added! New for 2014, is a special Amesbury student awards category!
Race proceeds to benefit Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country, a public charity that enriches the quality of life of persons with disabilities through opportunities for year-round sport & recreation www.AdaptiveSportsPartners.org.
The race is named for Pat Polletta, who spearheaded the creation of the first girls’ track program in the Merrimack Valley and coached the Amesbury High School cross-country and track teams for many years. Polletta, who was paralyzed in his later years, did not let anything get in his way; not old age, and certainly not paralysis. He was a life-long advocate of fitness as a powerful means to build self-esteem and empower young people.

The Winners Circle
The Winner’s Circle Running Club’s 24th Annual Newburyport High Street Mile will be run on 2015 Date TBA. 9:15 AM start start at Atkinson Common in Newburyport, MA. Fast/flat USATF certified straight line course (USATF certification MA07009JK). Separate start times based on age division and sex. Proceeds benefit the River Rivals (Amesbury, Newburyport, Pentucket, Triton) XC and T&F programs.
All entrants are asked to bring $1 to contribute to THE ONE FUND BOSTON to aid Boston Marathon bombing victims.
